This place gets 5 stars!
The pork belly & guacamole was one appetizer, I couldn’t stop saying “yum” with every bite. It was served with perfect cooked tostones. The Cuban sandwich is delicious. The black beans and rice are delightful. The chicken dish was very good but didn’t have a ton of flavor as I expected, was cooked perfectly and still very good. Just could have been better. The tres leches was SOOOOOO good, like phenomenal. It was perfectly made. Highly recommend & the staff was very sweet. I should have taken photos!

Omg I was down in Toledo for work and happened to find this place on accident and boy oh boy what a great place. Cafecito was amazing 🤩 everything I ate was delicious. Clean bathroom and great service would highly recommend and will be coming back.

My wife and I ate here for the first time and loved it! The food was great, always fun to get to experience different cuisines, and our waitress was very helpful and genuinely interested in making sure we were pleased with our meal. The atmosphere is also very nice, really enjoyed the screens playing scenes from Cuba. Definitely plan on going back and thinking about what dish to try next.

This needs to go to the top of your must-eat-list!!
I ordered tacos from the lunch menu (1 ropes veija, 1 roasted pork, which can only be described as over-stuffed -- easily a quarter pound of meat in each). I asked for all the toppings on a side dish, which they were happy to do – I'm a bit particular about topping my tacos. The tacos came with rice and black beans (I don't generally even like rice, but this was so good I ate it all). I topped off my meal with flan (hands down the best I've had anywhere, although I ended up taking it home because the meal was just so filling. The flavor and quality of everything was absolute perfection, the wait staff were friendly and attentive, and the decor is stunning. There are no TV screens blaring news or sports – – instead, videos of Cuba, and Cuban music. I wanted to meet the owner (Oscar), who happy to sit at my table for a few minutes and chat about food, Cuba, and more.
I guess my only question is, is there a spare room in the back where I could put a bed and just sleep here between meals? 😉😁

✨ 5-Star Experience!💥
I recently visited this restaurant with friends to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and we had an amazing time. The atmosphere was warm and vibrant, and the Cuban food, drinks, desserts and coffee were all absolutely delicious.
A special shout-out to Yessica, who provided exceptional customer service. She was friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better.
The prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the dishes we ordered. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, a welcoming vibes, and excellent service. We will definitely be returning!

Sweet Havana is an amazing new restaurant in Toledo. My partner and I are *obsessed.* The congri (black beans & rice) is delicious and the roast pork and ropa vieja are exceptional. And the flan...I didn't know flan could be that good. Also, don't sleep on the coffee. Best cup of coffee I've ever had.

Excellent Cuban food, great service. We had the guacamole with pork belly and tostones, a Cuban sandwich, pan con lechón, and ropa vieja. Everything was fantastic. The pork was tender but not too dry. The guacamole appetizer was excellent although I would have liked more tostones with it (they gave us only two for a heaping pile of guacamole). The restaurant is clean with a fun atmosphere but not too loud. We were there on Valentine’s Day with our ten-month-old son, and they were very accommodating with a high chair, and we saw other families with kids dining comfortably as well. The decorations were fun and festive and service was fantastic even though our server said they were busier than usual with the holiday. Overall a very good experience and outstanding Cuban food.

Very friendly and inviting atmosphere. My wife and I stopped in for the first time to try the lunch menu and we were not disappointed. The Cuban sandwich was delicious, full of flavor and presented with attention to detail. Already excited to come back and try a different dish, as the rice and beans sounded good.

Heard about this restaurant and decided to try it with two friends. We did not get a reservation for a 5:00pm meal, so we sat at the bar. Definitely recommend getting a reservation. The food was delicious-- I'd always heard about the Cuban sandwich, it did not disappoint! One friend had a vegetarian meal which she said was excellent.

My daughter recommended this restaurant (my mom was from Cuba) so I thought I'd give it a try. We ordered the Yuca appetizer (best I've ever had) and Cuban sandwiches (media noches), sweet plantains, and kids meals. We also had the flan and churros. The Cuban sandwiches were awesome. They are massive, so we took home leftovers. The flan is more of the cream cheese style (it was good) and the churros were hot with chocolate sauce for dipping. The atmosphere is fun, complete with a Hemmingway picture on the wall. The TVs play videos of Cuba. We loved it all. Our server Jessica was lovely. She was as excited for our order as we were. It was a real Cuban vibe and I was there for it. We will be back.
